Power inverters can convert DC power, 12 V DC or 24 V DC, into conventional AC power 120 volts 60 Hz or 220 50 Hz which can then run all kinds of household products. You just connect the inverter to a battery, and plug your AC devices into the inverter and you've got power on the go.
The power inverter draws its power from a 12 Volt or 24 Volt battery (depending on the model), or several batteries wired in parallel. The battery may need to be recharged as the inverter draws the power out of it. The battery can be recharged by running the automobile motor, gas generator, solar panels, or wind. A power inverter can be used for emergency power.
